20 years – and it seems like yesterday

Today, on February 1st, 20 years ago, cms electronics was founded.

2022

New subsidiary cms innovates electronics

cms electronics focuses on growth and establishes the subsidiary cms innovates electronics gmbh, specializing in integrative product development with optimization of quality and productivity and complementing the existing in-house development.

2019

New headquarters for cms electronics

New headquarters for cms electroncs gmbh in Klagenfurt cms electronics built a new headquarters. The Klagenfurt headquarters and production of cms electronics moved in 2019.

15-year company anniversary

15th anniversary of cms electroncs gmbh in Klagenfurt cms electronics is getting ready for the demands of the future and is building a new headquarters. The Klagenfurt headquarters and production of cms electronics will move (in the second half of) 2019.

Successful medical certification

cms electronics is now certified according to ISO13485 medical technology standard.

New location in Germany

cms electronics takes over the company Hopp Elektronik in March/Freiburg in Germany and renames itself cms electronics germany gmbh

Investment in a fully automated, robot-based production line and a painting line

Winners of BEST EMS 2009: 1st place in the "Flexibility" category; 2nd place in the "Product Quality" category. Overall, cms electronics was ranked among the top 5 in 5 out of 6 categories.

Increasing production capacity

The positive market developments make it necessary to increase production capacity. Therefore, cms electronics is investing in two new SMT production lines.

cms electronics is getting bigger

Expansion of the Klagenfurt production through the construction of a new hall (900m²)

And the winner is…

cms electronics wins the Carinthian Export Prize. The Export Prize recognizes the above-average commitment and success of Carinthian entrepreneurs on foreign markets. It is an award for those companies that do first-class work for the economic upturn in Carinthia.

Establishment of the first subsidiary

Joint venture with the previous production partner at the Hungarian site

Foundation of cms electronics gmbh

Establishment of cms electronics gmbh (cms = carinthian modules & systems) and takeover of the activities of the assembly manufacturing division of AIK

AIK takes over assembly and PCB production

This year, Philips sold parts of its component factories to the German-based AIK Group.

Start of assembly production

This year, the site began producing electronic components. Electronics from Carinthia are conquering the global market.

1962

Founding of Philips Bauelementewerke Klagenfurt

The Klagenfurt-Ebentalerstraße site has been a location for electronics manufacturing for more than 50 years. The so-called component factories were founded here in 1962. Since then, circuit boards, capacitors and electronic assemblies have been manufactured in Carinthia.
