THE ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING SERVICE PROVIDER CMS ELECTRONICS HAS NOW ALSO AUDITED ITS PRODUCTION ACCORDING TO THE MEDICAL DEVICE STANDARD ISO13485.
The demand for medical products is increasing and cms electronics is benefiting from this. More and more customers are demanding proof of ISO13485 certification before entering the medical technology sector. This standard regulates requirements for safety and functionality in production and is mandatory in order to be able to supply parts for, for example, controls for dialysis machines or lights in the operating room. cms electronics, with headquarters in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee / Austria, has now successfully certified the location.
Managing Director Michael Velmeden: "Our principle of 'follow the customer' also means following customer requirements. With the certification, we give medical technology manufacturing the same reliable basis as all other areas. And in this way we ensure that every customer is supplied with the same high level of competence, reliability and quality."
The production facility in March-Freiburg / Germany is also certified according to the medical device standard ISO13485. The corresponding audit for the Fonyod / Hungary site is planned for autumn.
Quality management is very important for the company and so this additional certification rounds off the management systems already in place within the organization according to ISO 9001, 14001 (environment) and TS16949 (automotive).
